These days most trends are manufactured. A company needs you to buy the next disposable widget that is going to fix all your problems, so it builds the trend to sell it. Plenty of people get burned, and it is genuinely hard to tell what is relevant inside your own friend group.
That is what the Trending tab is for. You see what is getting traction among your friends. No artificial trends, no paid influencers — just people who know you and care about you.
Your contacts never leave your phone.
Matching the people you know is the one feature that would normally justify uploading an address book. Evalumate does not do that, and here is exactly what it does instead.

Your phone number is hashed before it leaves
It is turned into an irreversible SHA-256 hash on your phone. We store the hash, so that other people’s matching can find you, and never the number itself.

Your address book is never sent anywhere
The numbers in your contacts are normalised and hashed on your device too. Only the hashes are used to look for matches, so we never hold a list of who you know.
Zero trackers
The extension collects nothing at all
No analytics, no telemetry, no advertising identifiers, and no record of the pages you visit. It reads the tab you are on to answer one question, and then forgets it.
